My Timpi Journey – A Timpi Community Story

My journey with @Timpi_TheNewWay began in 2021 through the Kadena group.

I came across a post about Timpi and their mission to build a decentralized search engine.

Given the growing concerns around data privacy and the invasive practices of big tech companies, this immediately caught my attention.

I participated in Timpi’s first IDO, which was hosted on the Kadena launchpad.

I was also among the early volunteers who ran the Timpi Collector Crawler, before the new node model was introduced.

However, running the collector software came with challenges. Due to the high cost of internet data in Nigeria,

I couldn’t afford to keep it running during the day. So I switched to a night plan, which allowed me to support the network for at least six hours every night.

When the new node sale launched, I couldn’t afford to purchase one at the time.

Still, I was eager to contribute in any way I could. That led me to join the Knight Timplar initiative and the beta tester team, helping to spread awareness and champion Timpi’s groundbreaking innovation.

It will be my utmost joy to see the Timpi search engine go live.
